Leadership

"Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock." -1. Peter 5:2-3

Logan Douglas
Pastor / Elder

Logan was saved by God’s grace in September of 2013. Shortly thereafter, he felt called into ministry and enrolled in seminary in January of 2014. He has served as a lay leader, student  minister, young adult pastor, church planting resident, elder, and missionary church planter. He has a Masters of Arts in Christian Ministry with emphasis in Pastoral Counseling and he is currently working on finishing his Masters of Divinity. In the April of 2019, Logan and his wife, Carla, moved to Reykjavik to pursue God's calling on their lives to plant gospel-centered churches in Iceland. Logan and Carla have been married since 2016 and they both enjoy serving the Church of Jesus Christ.

Jason Heydasch
Elder

Jason and his wife, Heather, got connected with Redeemer City Church of Reykjavík while he was serving on staff as the Tech & Communications Director at Providence Church in Knoxville, TN. In 2019, they took an exploratory mission trip to Iceland and immediately sensed a spiritual pull toward this church family. As a result of that pull and prompting, they decided to uproot for a brief period (after various Covid-related delays!) and live life on mission in the area of Kópavogur. During their time in Iceland, Jason has been working remotely as a SQL Server DBA while Heather has been pursuing Icelandic language learning classes. They have 2 children, both of whom attend school in the Capital region.

Hannah Johnston
Worship Leader

God graciously called Hannah to Himself at a very young age. In the summer of 2018 she felt called into ministry and completed the FUSION program at Spurgeon College in Kansas City, Missouri. She went on to earn an Associates of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Spurgeon. Hannah came to Iceland for the first time in the fall of 2019 when she did a 3-month internship with Logan and Carla. She returned to Reykjavik in the summer of 2020 to join in God's work and study the German language at the University of Iceland.
